About Us

Lucy Wadham’s small but successful National Hunt and Flat training operation is based literally feet away from Newmarket’s world famous training grounds, but in a quiet, rural setting two miles from the town centre.

Lucy has trained many Graded winners over jumps (including at Grade 1) and Stakes winners on the Flat (including at Group 2). She has been assisted in punching well above her numerical strength by the unparalleled facilities and back-up services, such as world class vets and farriers that are on her door-step.

Best Horses

United, probably the best jumping mare in Britain during her hay-day, won the Grade 1 Champion Four Year Old Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival for Lucy as well as over a quarter of a million pounds in prize money.

El Dancer won the Top Novices Hurdle, now a Grade 1, at Aintree; and the likes of Alarazi, The Dark Lord, Backbord, Baby Shine, Le Reve, Potter’s Legend and Mystic Sky are just a few of Lucy’s black type performers to have raced regularly at close to the top level. On the Flat, Lady Tiana won the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks; whilst Enforce, Cassique Lady, Crystal Gal and Dorcas Lane are all Group placed Listed winners.
